Two other RIM executives retreated following the poor financial reporting in the fourth quarter of last year. Yesterday Reuters reported that Alan Brenner, Senior Vice President and Vice President Alistair Mitchell BlackBerry Messenger leave this Canadian company. The release of these two men since the long list of Thorsten Heins served as CEO to replace Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis in January.
Balsillie retired from the company about a week ago along with the release of David Yach (CTO of software) and Jim Rowan (COO for global operations). RIM announced last March that in Q4 2011 they suffered a loss of $ 125 million, while their revenues declined 19 percent from the same quarter three years. Similarly, the BlackBerry device shipments fell 21 percent compared to third quarter 2011, to 11.1 million units.
