AOL has denied speculation that it plans to discontinue service AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) . AOL had previously admitted to layoff 40 employees and there was a rumor that they were having problems with declining revenues. As quoted by Computerworld , AOL says 'We do not stop Instant Messenger' and 'will continue to support and develop these services'. Although AOL promised to keep maintain these services, significant staff reductions made in some quarters doubts about the support and development services.
