RIM: 1 Million Units Tablet BlackBerry Playbook Sold So Far

In the fourth quarter report conducted recently, the new CEO of RIM is Throsten Heins, revealed that RIM's first attempt to enter the tablet market can only be recorded sales of around 1 million units. RIM's sales figure was achieved in a period of nearly a year since the first sale.

The figure of one million is the number of units sold and not delivered. If seen from the number delivery, RIM revealed that there are more than 500,000 units shipped PlayBook tablet in the last quarter yesterday. Estimated stock of the tablet is still pretty much remember the figure is half of the number of units sold last year.

Heins also said that about 70% of owners Playbook Playbook is an update to 2.0 for 30 days since its release. This update is a picture for BlackBerry 10, OS which is currently being developed by RIM.
