Sunday officially launched the Intel line of processors its Ivy Bridge. 22 nanometer chips will begin with 13 quadcore processors in the Core i5 and i7 family, they will focus to a desktop PC, notebook also medium and large sizes.
While the i3 and i5 chips are less expensive and low-power to ultrabook will follow within 3 months. Intel claims: compared to the 32nm Sandy Bridge architecture that exists today, Ivy Bridge chip has 20 percent better performance for less power 20 percent .
Along with power efficiency, significant improvements were also present from the integrated GPU HD2500 and HD4000. HD4000 is capable of handling 4K video resolution and the modern games in the details better. Ivy Bridge is also present as the first Intel architecture inherently supports USB 3.0
