Based on news reported by Reuters, Research in Motion has hired a law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP to work on restructuring plans, including asset sales, a partner, or license the patent.This paper obtained by Reuters from the people who participated in the briefing on the matter.
Reuters source said that RIM is discussing ways to increase revenue through the BlackBerry OS is also 10 and even discussed the possibility to create a private network (outside the internet). RIM hopes to earn an extra income of up to 4 billion dollars from the deal with the major mobile operators.
RIM itself before it had worked with Milbank. The company is also still coexist with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and consulting firm Monitor Group to acquire a strategic input.
Unfortunately, until now there has been no comment from these companies so that the truth of this news still need to wait.
