Windows 8 consumer preview set to launch on February 29


Wait for the Microsoft’s most anticipated OS is over now. Microsoft yesterday announced the launch date for its consumer preview version of Windows 8.Microsoft will be launching this beta version on February 29 in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress (MWC) and Windows 8 will have its separate event in a local hotel.
Windows is the most used OS and Windows7 was a success for Microsoft. Windows 8 will be having some changes like ‘START’ button will be missing. In place of it there will be ‘HOT CORNER’ button. The UI will be gorgeous. The existing features have been improved a lot.
Along with the launch of Windows8 Microsoft will also be opening its first “app store” having mini-programs for this version of Windows. In December, Microsoft began wooing developers for a February opening of its first Windows Store intended to feature third-party applications crafted for computers powered by the Redmond, Washington-based firm's software.
Earlier this week Microsoft released the early version of Windows 8 on a prototype tablet last week. If you want to experience Windows 8 then you can download its pre- beta version which is free to download. There are three packages and you can download anyone of them-
1.64-bit version-Only OS
2.32-bit version-Only OS
3.64-bit version with developer tools
Microsoft will be releasing more information on Windows 8 by the end of this month. Till then we will have to wait.
